Calendar Sync Workflow
A staged workflow for converting approved project tasks into realistic daily scheduling without making the calendar the authoritative project database.
Design objective
Keep detailed project information in structured task files, then send only approved, schedule-ready work into a calendar layer. This avoids losing project context while still creating a usable day plan.
Workflow
- Projects create and maintain their own task records.
- A master planner reviews dependencies, priority, duration, and available time.
- Approved tasks are prepared for calendar placement.
- Completion information returns to the task system rather than living only in calendar events.
Tools and status
Excel and Python are being used for the current data flow. Cloud-calendar and local-planner integration are planned, but account authorization and final scheduling rules still require configuration before this can be described as a live client-ready integration.
